My Story
My name is Alissa Braxton, and I was Born and raised in Long Island, New York. I also lived in California for a short part of my life, and now I am in Florida, Finishing my last year of Track and Field.
I have many interests like Science, Math, Astrology, Nature, and anything that has to do with discovery, but I've always been an artist since I was a kid, Architecture, Fashion Design, Music, Singing, and Drawing. I started to learn to sew and create clothes using patterns at the age of 9, and proceeded to take classes for 3 years and even taught my own. Once I reached middle school I would continue to draw clothes and eventually lost interest with 100's of clothing designs. It wasn't until my freshman year of high school, my brother told me to take a Photoshop class that made me fall in love. I then took every level possible for Photoshop, Illustrator, and Multimedia classes and was a student teacher for each as well. I enjoy being able to teach people and lead, as I have taken on many roles with different organizations. During my years at Jack and Jill Inc., I was the Corresponding Secretary, Recording Secretary, and President, and in college, I was UF's Black Student Athlete Council's Secretary and Vice President. Being able to share new information, and topics as well as creating conversation is one of my passions, I believe it helps create beautiful connections with people who also want to learn and share interests.
My mom then introduced me to Graphic Design, and I created all her designs for her company, Black Momma Vodka, to gain experience, which ultimately led to me wanting to pursue graphic design in college. When it comes to my style, I like to explore various aesthetics and when it comes to my clients, I like to match who they are as a person and what they want for their business. I like to make it personal to who they are and what they represent. As a Singer/Songwriter, I want to be able to create for other musical artists, such as myself, album covers, posters, and logos. Recently I've started a music page called Music Index, to share music or artists who are not well known, and incorporated my graphic design into my content creation.

I hope that one day my designs and music can create an impact and help build a community of creators who also want to thrive and share their passions. As well as grow as a person who has accomplished and explored many things, as it is my destiny to constantly learn.
